How CompareHQ works

What CompareHQ does
CompareHQ is where you compare providers across executive coaching, leadership development, coach training, NED services, outplacement and other people and workplace support. The idea is simple: help you see your options, understand them, and weigh them up, so you can choose with a clear head. We're not a certification body, and we don't personally vet or approve every provider on the platform.
Where provider information comes from
A provider's listing can be built from a few sources: the provider themselves, their public website, relevant accreditation or membership bodies, third-party platforms, and other public information. We don't chase down or certify every claim a provider makes. When a listing carries our “Verified provider” badge, it means our team has checked it for accuracy and completeness before publishing. That's a check, not an independent audit or a personal endorsement. There's more detail in our Comparison methodology.
How providers are compared
You compare providers on structured information: location, price band, founded year, delivery format, sector experience, accreditations, and category-specific specialisms, alongside third-party ratings where we have them. We don't yet have a single, finalised scoring or ranking methodology. We're building that out as the platform grows, and the full detail lives in our Comparison methodology.
Sponsored and paid providers
Providers can hold a Free, Professional, or Premium listing. A paid tier (Professional or Premium) can increase a provider's visibility, for example a higher placement in search results or a featured section, and we label that clearly wherever it applies. Paying for a listing tier never changes a provider's factual content. It never affects their independent comparison position, star rating, review count, or accreditation data either. Those are the same for every provider, whatever they pay us. The full detail is in our Paid placement disclosure.
Our relationships, and being open about them
We think you should know when we're close to a provider. Sometimes a CompareHQ founder has a professional relationship with a provider we list, and CompareHQ itself may occasionally have a commercial one. Where that's relevant to how a provider is presented, we disclose it on their profile, so you have the full picture when you're weighing your options.
A disclosed relationship doesn't mean preferential treatment. Providers we have a relationship with are held to the same listing standards as everyone else.
Third-party reviews
We don't run our own review system. We don't collect, write, independently verify, moderate, or manage provider reviews. When a star rating or review count shows on a listing, it comes from that provider's public Trustpilot or Google profile, subject to that platform's terms and applicable law, and it stays attributed to that source. There's more in How ratings work.
Transparency and trust
We try to be straight with you about where information comes from, how the comparison works, when a listing is paid for, when we have a relationship with a provider, and where review data comes from. If something looks unclear or wrong, tell us and we'll look into it.
Your choice
CompareHQ gives you the information and the tools to compare providers. We won't tell you which one to pick. The right provider depends on what you actually need, and that call is always yours.
