How ratings work
Star ratings are one of the main ways buyers judge a provider, so we want to be upfront about where they come from.
Where the rating comes from
Ratings and review counts shown on CompareHQ are sourced from providers' public Trustpilot and Google listings. They are not self-reported by providers, and providers cannot pay to change, remove, or improve their rating, that's a core part of our Listing Integrity Policy.
How often it's updated
Each rating reflects a snapshot taken at the time the provider was added to CompareHQ. We don't currently have a live feed pulling updates from Trustpilot or Google automatically, so a provider's real-world rating may have moved since. We're working towards live syncing, for the most up-to-date number, check the provider's own Trustpilot or Google profile directly.
